No Late-Season Magic Coming: Sendai Ikuei HS Out of Playoffs Thursday, April 17th , 2042 A late-season playoff push is not in the cards for the Sendai Ikuei HS Daimyo. The club today was mathematically knocked out of playoff contention. "There are a lot of long faces around right now," said Daimyo manager Shohei Araki. "You know in your head that every year, most teams in baseball have to go through this, but it still hurts when you realize you've lost your shot at a title." This is the club's 6th playoff miss in a row. They last appeared in the postseason in 2036. In total, the Daimyo have missed the playoffs 13 times in their 14-year history. |
