3-HR Dream Game for Herrera Wednesday, April 16th , 2042 Whatever Luis Herrera ate for breakfast before his game against the Strathcona HS Leopards, it gave him some impressive power. The Guantanamo HS first baseman smacked three balls up and out of the park at Strathcona Ballpark. His home run barrage helped the Diamond Cats defeat the Leopards, 11-4. "When they throw it in your wheelhouse, you've got a shot at a homer," he told BNN reporters after the game. "I got three shots today and nailed them all." On his 3-homer day, he went 3-for-5, scored 3 times, drove in 6 and put on a display that history will remember. Luis Herrera flied out in the 1st, hit a GRAND SLAM off Gregg St.john in the 1st, grounded out in the 4th, hit a solo-shot off Tatsui Nakamura in the 6th and hit a solo-shot off Bob Carruthers in the 9th. Herrera has a .282 average and a .377 on-base percentage for the year. He has picked up 40 hits, 13 home runs and driven in 30 runs. |
