Big 3-HR Day for Billon
Sunday, March 30th , 2042
The old superstition that "bad news comes in threes" certainly came true for the South Kamloops HS Colossus.
Gonaives HS first baseman Pierre Billon tripled up on the home runs to propel the Revolution to a win, 11-10, at Gonaives Ballpark.
"We had our chances to win the game, but we just didn't come through," South Kamloops HS manager Anthony LeBlanc said. "Billon hit the heck out of the ball."
In addition to the homers, Billon collected 3 hits in 5 at-bats, 8 RBIs and scored 3 runs.
"Easy swings get you home runs," he said after the game. "I kept telling myself not to press. They have to be nice and easy swings."
Pierre Billon hit a three-run home run off Johan Henderson in the 1st, struck out in the 3rd, hit a three-run home run off Johan Henderson in the 5th, hit a two-run home run off Brooks McIver in the 6th and grounded out in the 8th.
So far this season, Billon has gotten 33 hits in 104 at-bats for a .317 batting average with 16 home runs. His stats include 28 RBIs and 26 runs scored. He has played in 27 games.
