3-HR Binge for Brigatti Against Tokoha Gakuen Kikugawa HS
Sunday, March 30th , 2042
Hitting three home runs in a game is usually something to celebrate, but there was no celebration to be found at Trawlers Ballpark after the hitting barrage from Randolph Brigatti. The Port Lincoln HS Trawlers dropped the contest, 5-4, to the Tokoha Gakuen Kikugawa HS Jiten, leaving Brigatti with only a historical footnote as consolation.
Randolph is blessed with a natural home run swing so he gets the ball up in the air real quickly," Port Lincoln HS manager Marcos Sotelo said after the loss. "It's just a shame we couldn't win the game, too. I'm sure it spoils the day a little for him."
Along with putting three in the stands, Brigatti went 3-for-4 with 3 RBIs and 3 runs scored.
"It's rare that you actually try to hit a home run," he told reporters after the game. "Mostly you'll fail if you really try to hit one, but today I tried on the last one."
Randolph Brigatti grounded out in the 2nd, hit a solo-shot off Naruhiko Yamada in the 4th, hit a solo-shot off Ichiro Adachi in the 7th and hit a solo-shot off Takanibu Mori in the 9th.
Brigatti is hitting .413 this year with 8 home runs, 24 RBIs and 19 runs scored. He has 38 hits in 92 at-bats, 11 walks and a .481 on-base percentage. Brigatti has played in 25 games.
