Top AC Reliever Honored
Sunday, June 9th , 2041
At the age of 17, Justin Powers says he still has a lot to learn about life in International High School Athletic Association.
But he certainly seems to be a quick study, as the Point Grey HS Hounds reliever was better than all others this year and has captured the 2041 Atlantic Conference Reliever of the Year Award.
"I hope to win this a few more times before all is said and done in my career," the Vancouver, Canada native said.
For the season, Powers had 6 saves in 17 relief appearances, which totaled 27. He fanned 19 betters, while walking 3 and put up a record of 2-1 to go with his 0.67 ERA.
He received 23 first place votes out of a possible 44. Kjeld Martin of the Bogaerts Bricklayers finished second in voting with 21 first place votes, while Ward McBride of the South Kamloops HS Colossus finished third.
