Revolution Advance to Round 3 Thursday, May 9th , 2041 The Gonaives HS Revolution are riding high after winning the Round 2 and eliminating the South Kamloops HS Colossus by a series score of 4-1. The final blow came tonight at South Kamloops Ballpark, when Gonaives HS secured its spot in the Round 3 with a 2-0 victory. "It feels good to put them away because we really didn't want to let them crawl back into this series," said center fielder Geoffroy Marin, who was named series MVP. "A team like that, you need to bury them when you get the chance." Marin certainly helped his team's cause, as he hit .368 with a .455 on-base percentage in the series. He also chipped in 0 home runs, drove in 1 RBI and scored 2 runs. The Gonaives HS Revolution will play against the Guantanamo HS Diamond Cats in the next round. Guantanamo HS won their series against the Eton Rifles 4 games to 1. The Round 3 schedule will be announced after the Round 2 finishes. View Boxscore |
