The Meiji University Troika right fielder tore up the Curtin University Cockatoos to the tune of 5 hits in 7 at-bats at Cockatoo Cricket Grounds. The offensive onslaught from Ito powered the 6-3 Troika win. "Ito was a tough out," Curtin University manager Masujiro Takahashi said to the press in the postgame interview. "He hit some very good pitches with that quick bat of his. Not an easy out, that's for sure." Motoyuki Ito singled in the 1st, hit an RBI triple in the 3rd, singled in the 5th, grounded out in the 7th, flied out in the 9th, singled in the 12th and singled in the 14th.
