Puente Keeps Hit Streak Alive Thursday, March 20th , 2042 Mario Puente collected 1 hit in today's game and extended his hitting streak to 20 games. His club, the Instituto Politecnico Nacional Mules, beat the Hamilton Canada Terrors, 4-2. "Right now, when they throw me the ball, it looks the size of a softball," Puente quipped to a BNN reporter after the game. "I'm excited about how things are clicking." Mario Puente flied out in the 1st, grounded out in the 3rd, singled in the 6th and flied out in the 7th. In 18 games this year, Puente has posted a .403 average and put up these numbers: 4 home runs, 8 RBIs and 9 runs scored. |
