Ciudad Juarez Velas first baseman Alonso Ruíz failed to get a hit against the Ciudad Acuna Mariachis and had his consecutive-game hitting streak broken. The 27-year-old went 0-for-4 in his club's 4-1 victory over the Mariachis at Mariachis Ballpark. "I think I only made it to 20 games because I got lucky once or twice," he said. "So I guess I can't complain too much that I got unlucky and broke the streak." Ruíz's current batting average stands at .317 and he has chalked up 4 home runs and 39 RBIs. |
