Done Deal: Vela for Flores Friday, May 2nd , 2042 According to BNN there were mixed emotions by the players involved in the trade between the Queretaro Desperados and the Leon Zapateros. As part of the deal, the Desperados swapped 34-year old 1B Ramón Vela to the Zapateros getting 35-year old LHP Juan Flores in return. The players indicated it was good to get a fresh new start in another city, but it was difficult to leave your friends on the old team. During his 694-game career Vela has batted .262 and collected 584 hits, 31 home runs and 175 RBIs. His career mark is 93 victories and 64 defeats. Flores also has struck out 1019 batters and compiled a 3.24 ERA. |
