Peña Selected Top Performer in ABSF-MEX Monday, November 18th , 2041 Alonso Peña made quite a splash in the Alianza Beisbol Al Sur de la Frontera this past week. The Merida Adelantados first baseman drilled opposing pitchers for 8 hits in 19 at-bats to roll up a .421 batting average and the Alianza Beisbol Al Sur de la Frontera Player of the Week Award. He also contributed 3 home runs, 7 RBIs and 6 runs scored to his club's offensive attack. Peña is currently batting .315 with 10 home runs and 58 RBIs. |
