Panthers Heading to Round 4 Wednesday, May 21st , 2042 The DeSoto Central HS Panthers clubhouse was filled with glee and celebration tonight, while the Winter Springs HS Bears room was filled with despair and sadness after the Round 3 concluded. "Someone's got to win and someone's got to lose, we're just glad we're on the good end of it tonight and can enjoy this," said David Fitzpatrick, who was named MVP for a strong series of offensive performance. DeSoto Central HS won the final game by a 10-7 count at DeSoto Central Grounds and the series 4-2. Winter Springs HS manager Anthony Roy was simple and to-the-point in his assessment of the series. "They were the better team and deserve to move on," he said. For the series, Fitzpatrick hit .478 with a .500 on-base percentage. He had 2 home runs, drove in 10 RBI and scored 4 runs. The DeSoto Central HS Panthers don't know who they will face in the next round. They will play the winner of the Tumwater HS Thunderhawks - Wilson Classical HS Bruins series.
