DeSoto Central HS Advances to Round 3 Monday, May 12th , 2042 The DeSoto Central HS Panthers and Blanchard HS Ligers put on a classic Round 2 that was in question until the final game. In the end, DeSoto Central HS won the deciding contest by a score of 8-1, to take the series 4-3. "It doesn't get much tighter than that. To win a series in the last game is a thrill," said Greg Reed, who earned series MVP honors for DeSoto Central HS. "Our guys are breathing a little easier now." For the series, Reed hit .500 with a .517 on-base percentage. He had 2 home runs, drove in 8 RBI and scored 4 runs. The DeSoto Central HS Panthers don't know who they will face in the next round.
