Round 1 Goes the Distance, Mankato West HS Prevails Saturday, May 3rd , 2042 It took a while, but the Mankato West HS Reds finally disposed of the Lodi HS Devils 7-4 in the series clincher at Mankato Park. Winning the finale gave the Reds the series, 4-3. They will now advance to the Round 2. The Most Valuable Player Award went to Mankato West HS right fielder Roberto Flores. He batted .400 in the series, collecting 2 RBIs and scoring 8 runs. The Mankato West HS Reds will play against the Wilson Classical HS Bruins in the next round.
