Knights Win Round 1 Tuesday, April 29th , 2042 The West Lauderdale HS Knights "bent but didn't break" against the Union City HS Hillers in the Round 1. That's according to Michael Billings of West Lauderdale HS, who was named series MVP. "Our guys faced adversity and overcame it. This series wasn't easy, but we stuck to our game and made it work," he said. West Lauderdale HS won the final game by a 10-5 count and the series 4-1. Billings's MVP performance included hitting .476 with a .522 on-base percentage. He also had 1 home runs, drove in 9 RBI and scored 3 runs. The West Lauderdale HS Knights will play against the Winter Springs HS Bears in the next round. Winter Springs HS won their series against the South Caldwell HS Spartans 4 games to 0.
