Brawlers Meléndez Out Rest Of Season Saturday, April 19th , 2042 Injuries are something every team has to deal with. That fact struck home for the Brawlers when after today's game against the Hellcats, the club found out they would be without the services of José Meléndez for at least 13 months. After the game, his manager said of the incident, "You hate to lose anyone to injury. That's always a negative." Meléndez was injured earlier today throwing a pitch and suffered a ruptured ulnar collateral ligament. For the season, Meléndez has made 7 relief appearances, recorded no saves, compiled a 0-2 won-lost mark and a 6.61 ERA. In pitching 16.1 innings, he has totaled 3 strikeouts and 11 walks. |
