Star of the Week Honored in EL Monday, March 31st , 2042 Not every ball that came off Michael Woods's bat last week was a line drive or a towering shot -- it just seemed that way to the teams that played the South Caldwell HS Spartans. For his exploits, Woods was named this week's Eastern League Player of the Week award. The South Caldwell HS third baseman put up 13 hits in 17 at-bats and no home runs while hitting .765 with 2 RBIs and 2 runs scored. Woods is batting at a .439 pace this season, picking up 47 hits in 107 at-bats with 6 home runs, 17 RBIs and 21 runs scored. |
