Huff Strokes 3 HR Against Sarasota HS Sunday, March 30th , 2042 Tim Huff was in a home run mode at Sailors Ballpark. The Bishop Moore HS left fielder massacred Sailors pitching, cracking out three home runs and going 3-for-5 with 5 RBIs and scoring 3 runs. But this sensational performance didn't really matter. Sarasota HS won the ballgame, 12-10, despite the three homers. "I wish a big 'W' had come with this," he said. "It's great to hit three homers, but the bottom line is whether you win or lose." Nonetheless, Huff will now have a place in the league record book. "I guess when you're hot, you're hot," he said. "I'm not going up there trying to hit home runs. I put the good part of the bat on it and luckily three of them went out today." Tim Huff hit a solo-shot off Lorne Powell in the 1st, struck out in the 2nd, struck out in the 4th, hit a solo-shot off Curt Fuller in the 7th and hit a three-run home run off Kerry Osborne in the 8th. This season, Huff is batting .333 with 9 home runs. |
