Pirates Robinson Smacks 5 Hits
Monday, March 24th , 2042
After a 5-hit effort to lead Seton Hall Prep's 20-14 victory over the West Lauderdale HS Knights, first baseman Pete Robinson told BNN beat writers it had been "a special day."

"It really doesn't matter whether it's sandlot ball, high school or college, two hits in a game is nice," he said. "Three or four is better, but five or more is out of sight. And to do that at the Interscholastic Federation-level is really something special."

The 16-year-old player earned his accolades at Ballpark of West Lauderdale HS with a spectacular 5-for-7 game against the Knights.

"His swing is getting there," said Pirates skipper Juan Román, who spoke glowingly of Robinson after the game. "We want him to be quick with his swing, short and compact. We want him to be patient and go the other way when he can. Pete did that to perfection."

Pete Robinson hit an RBI single in the 1st, singled in the 4th, doubled in the 5th, hit an RBI single in the 5th, singled in the 7th, grounded out in the 8th and struck out in the 9th.

This season, Robinson is swinging the bat at a .276 rate with 27 hits in 98 at-bats. To date he has hit 1 home run, scored 14 runs and driven in 12.
