Kinney Goes Downtown 3 Times Against Myrmidon Sunday, March 23rd , 2042 In a powerful performance that left the fans at Myrmidon Ballpark buzzing, Horizon HS Huskies catcher Michael Kinney blasted a trio of home runs en route to a win, 8-5, over the De La Salle HS Myrmidon. "Everything was clicking," Kinney told the press. "My timing was good and I got pitches I could handle and I didn't miss them." Kinney shined brilliantly in the win, with 3 hits in 5 at-bats, 6 RBIs and 3 runs scored. "It's not just one guy, it's everybody," Huskies manager Johnny Green said. "Michael played great but it takes more than one guy to win a game." Michael Kinney hit a solo-shot off José Alejo in the 1st, grounded out in the 4th, flied out in the 5th, hit a two-run home run off Daryl Davis in the 8th and hit a three-run home run off Nick Knight in the 9th. Kinney is currently hitting .374 with 10 home runsand 25 RBIs, while scoring 16 runs. |
