Curry Pounds 3 HR Against Bobcats Monday, March 17th , 2042 Anyone wearing a glove and sitting in the bleachers for today's Sailors-Bobcats game had a good chance at snagging a home run ball. Sarasota HS left fielder Ricky Curry thrice sent eager fans scurrying to catch a souvenir, helping lead the Sarasota HS to a win, 13-0, over Cy-Fair HS. "Hey, the three homers were great, but I'm just trying to help my ballclub," Curry said later. "I'm not going out there thinking I need another home run." Curry, who is tied for 2nd in the EL in RBI with 21, was 3-for-5 on the day with 8 RBI. Ricky Curry flied out in the 1st, hit a two-run home run off George Anthony in the 4th, flied out in the 5th, hit a three-run home run off Harry Bartlett in the 7th and hit a three-run home run off Harry Bartlett in the 8th. So far this season, Curry is hitting .291 with 7 home runs. |
