EL Announces Outstanding Player Award
Friday, June 14th , 2041
He may have less experience than most of his Interscholastic Federation peers, but that didn't slow Júlio Peralta down at all in 2041.
At the age of 17, the Palm Beach Gardens HS second baseman has been named the winner of the Eastern League Outstanding Hitter Award.
He had a .292 batting average and a .422 on-base percentage this year. In 46 games he piled up 45 hits, 8 doubles, no triples, 10 home runs, 22 RBIs and 22 runs scored.
"I'm blown away by the season I was able to put together," he said. "I'm looking forward to trying to do it all again next year."
He received 20 first place votes out of a possible 44. Steve Moody of the Union City HS Hillers finished second in voting with 17 first place votes, while William Russell of the Katy HS Tigers finished third with 7 first place votes.
