It's Official -- Cincinnati Fires Ávila as Manager Monday, June 2nd , 2042 Looking like he hadn't slept in 24 hours, fired Cincinnati Unifiers manager Jesús Ávila met the media before heading back to his hometown. Ávila was fired by Unifiers general manager today. "It stinks. It's miserable. I hate it," Ávila said. "But that's baseball. I'm sure there's a silver lining here somewhere.
