Jake Lee Strokes 3 Home Runs Saturday, May 17th , 2042 Jake Lee went yard three times in a Villanova Starbursts victory over the Penn State Pride at Penn State Grounds. "I was in a groove," he said. "Every pitch they tossed up there looked like a grapefruit." For the day, the Villanova third baseman went 3-for-5 against Penn State with 5 RBIs and 3 runs scored in a brilliant display of power hitting that led the Starbursts to the 10-1 win. "I tell you what. I'm shocked because I didn't think that last ball had enough to get out," he told BNN reporters in the clubhouse following the game. "I thought it was just going to be a long out." Jake Lee hit a solo-shot off Rudolf Verheijen in the 2nd, flied out in the 3rd, hit a three-run home run off Samuel MacColl in the 5th, grounded out in the 6th and hit a solo-shot off Dan White in the 9th. This year, Lee is hitting .251 with 10 home runs and 23 RBIs in 50 games played. He also boasts an OBP of .344 with 24 walks and 21 runs scored. |
