Palouse Knights Brent Gilmore Will Miss Season Friday, May 2nd , 2042 The doctors have spoken and Brent Gilmore of the Washington State Palouse Knights didn't like what he heard. The 19-year-old reliever is almost certainly gone for the rest of the year and depending on his progress could miss some of next season as well. Gilmore sustained his season-ending injury during the Stanford Axe game yesterday at Ballpark of Washington State. He had to leave the game because he hurt himself while throwing a pitch. Today the Washington State medical staff reported Gilmore had a ruptured ulnar collateral ligament and would be absent from the lineup for at least 11 months. For the year, Gilmore has saved 3 games while posting an ERA of 1.56 and 14 strikeouts in 17.1 innings. His totals also include a 2-1 record in 15 relief appearances. |
