Ruckus Reaps 2-Game Suspensions
Wednesday, April 30th , 2042
Penn State and UCLA were informed today by the league's commissioner that two of their players have been given 2-game suspensions, citing their "inappropriate actions" in the recent altercation in a game played at Chili Peppers Ballpark.
For their parts in the bench-clearing episode, the Pride Michael Rasmussen and the Chili Peppers Jackson Beatty will be sitting on the sidelines and will not be permitted to participate in games until the suspensions are served.
So far this year in 52 games, Rasmussen is hitting .316 with 13 home runs, 34 RBIs and 34 runs scored.
For the year, Beatty has saved 2 games while posting an ERA of 3.98 and 12 strikeouts in 31.2 innings. His totals also include a 5-1 record in 9 relief appearances.
