The Math Says - Evangelists Out of Playoffs Sunday, April 20th , 2042 Even the most die-hard fans of the Notre Dame Evangelists will likely now start focusing on next year. The team was today mathematically eliminated from playoff contention. "We're disappointed," said Evangelists closer Marty Talley. "Not just for ourselves, but also for the fans that stick with us every year." The Evangelists have made the playoffs 7 times in their 36 years as a United States Collegiate Baseball Association franchise. This playoff miss is the club's 6th in a row, with their last postseason appearance coming in 2036. In the last 10 seasons, the Evangelists have missed the playoffs 7 times. |
