USCBA COL's #1 Player, Torres of Minnesota Monday, April 14th , 2042 It was a fantastic week for Minnesota catcher Jorge Torres and it was capped off today with the announcement that he was named the winner of the United States Collegiate Baseball Association Player of the Week Award. Last week Torres hammered the ball at a torrid .579 pace, going 11-for-19 with 6 home runs, 10 RBIs and 7 runs scored. This season, Torres has hit at a .316 clip with 30 RBIs, 15 home runs and 23 runs scored. He has played in 35 games. |
