Cordle Put in Cooler, Hitless Against Oregon State Wednesday, April 9th , 2042 Patrick Cordle's 20-game hitting streak has now come and gone. It was snapped today as the Iowa Archers suffered a setback against the Oregon State Dambusters, 4-2. Cordle went without a hit in 1 trips to the plate. He was visibly upset during a postgame press conference, but it appeared that the streak had little to do with it. "The hitting streak was one of those things where it was fun while it lasted, but I'm not going to lose any sleep about it tonight," he said. "On the other hand, I am going to lose sleep about dropping this game today." This season, Cordle is hitting .375 with 48 hits, 7 home runs, 27 RBIs, scored 25 runs and played in 35 games. |
