Belles Halt Gonzáles Hit Streak Wednesday, April 9th , 2042 Luis Gonzáles, center fielder for the Rutgers Old Queens, gave it a good try, but his time chasing history came to an end when he went hitless in 4 tries against the Memphis Belles. Not only did the Belles break his 20-game hitting streak, they also beat Rutgers by the score of 3-1. "Now that the streak has ended, I can admit I'll breathe a bit easier the next time I step up to bat," Gonzáles said, speaking with the media after the game. "It was tough because I put a little pressure on myself. Now that it's over, I will definitely be a little bit looser at the plate." In the 2042 season Gonzáles is hitting .369 with 2 home runs. |
