Cordle Hits in 20 Consecutive Games Tuesday, April 8th , 2042 Patrick Cordle has been on a tear for several weeks, and his hitting streak just keeps getting longer. The 19-year-old Iowa Archers shortstop extended his streak to 20 games, going 1-for-4 as Iowa got the best of the Purdue Astronauts at Astronauts Ballpark, 4-3. "Patrick has been playing real well lately and we're proud of him," Archers manager Pete Hodges said. Patrick Cordle grounded out in the 2nd, grounded out in the 5th, grounded out in the 7th and singled in the 9th. This year, Cordle is hitting .378 with 48 hits, 7 home runs, 27 RBIs and has scored 25 runs. |
