League Gives Washington and Cedeño 5-Game Suspensions Sunday, March 16th , 2042 Hot tempers flared and a few punches were thrown at the Stanford and Pittsburgh game yesterday and ended up with two players ejected. Rick Washington of the Axe and Orlando Cedeño of the Cathedrals have now been reprimanded and issued 5-game suspensions by the league commissioner for their parts in the fracas. This year, Washington is hitting .446 with 6 home runs. So far this season, Cedeño has compiled a 1-1 won-lost mark with no saves and a 2.25 ERA. In 8 innings he has fanned 5 and opponents are hitting him at a .172 clip. |
