Marks Cracks 5 Hits Wednesday, March 12th , 2042 It doesn't happen very often, but it did for Todd Marks -- a 5-hit effort. He went on a rampage at Lucky Rodents Ballpark and paced the 19-3 Sea Dawgs win over the Minnesota Lucky Rodents. After his dynamite batting performance, the East Carolina second baseman told reporters that he "just tried to get in a good count and have a good at-bat. That's all I can control." His philosophy paid dividends today. He slammed 5 hits in 6 tries and put his name in the record book. Todd Marks struck out in the 1st, walked in the 3rd, hit an RBI single in the 4th, singled in the 6th, doubled in the 6th, hit a two-run double in the 7th and singled in the 9th. Currently Marks is hitting .350 and has collected no home runs, 5 RBIs and scored 4 times, while playing in 10 games. View Boxscore |
