Moon Bashes 5 Base Hits Wednesday, March 5th , 2042 Herb Moon exploded for a barrage of base hits at Klondikes Ballpark. The Northwestern first baseman had a field day in his team's 8-7 triumph over the UCONN Klondikes, finishing 5-for-6. "My hitting philosophy is simple," he said. "I focus on just seeing the ball and I try to get a good pitch." Moon must have focused at least 5 times and apparently got some good pitches, too, leading to one of his best days ever with the bat. Herb Moon singled in the 1st, doubled in the 3rd, flied out in the 4th, hit a two-run home run off Billy Ellis in the 6th, singled in the 8th and singled in the 9th.
