Montlake Malamutes Win Regionals Monday, May 13th , 2041 The joy and relief on the faces of the Washington Montlake Malamutes players was obvious as they celebrated their Regionals win over the UAB Dragons. "In a series like this, the smallest thing can make the difference in how it turns out," said Washington left fielder Geoffrey Claus, shortly after the 6-2 win that clinched the series 4-3. "We're happy we did what it takes to get it done." The team is now off to the Super Regionals. Claus won series MVP honors on the strength of his .357 batting average during the series. He also had a .438 on-base percentage and 1 home runs, drove in 4 RBI and scored 4 runs. The Super Regionals matchups and schedule will be announced after the Regionals finishes. View Boxscore |
