20-Game Hitting Streak for Frederick Thursday, May 2nd , 2041 Duane Frederick's bat has been smoking lately, and it continued today as he went 1-for-5 in his team's 8-6 triumph over the Pittsburgh Cathedrals at Cathedrals Ballpark. The 20-year-old right fielder has now hit safely in 20 consecutive games for the Herd. Duane Frederick flied out in the 1st, grounded out in the 3rd, hit a solo-shot off Guillermo Piña in the 6th, flied out in the 6th and struck out in the 8th. This year, Frederick is batting .311 with 65 hits and 17 home runs. He has scored 28 times and has batted in 44 runs. |
