Consigliere End Bochi Streak
Friday, August 1st , 2042
It was the best of both worlds for the Camden Consigliere at Cyclones Stadium, as they defeated the Omaha Insurers, 3-0, and also snapped Ramón Bochi's 20-game hitting streak. The 21-year-old Omaha second baseman failed to get a hit in 2 at-bats.
"Nothing personal against Bochi, we just wanted to win the game," said Consigliere skipper Edward Wright. "We did a great job keeping him off-balance and guessing."
When asked by reporters about his streak coming to an end, Bochi frowned and said, "I won't lie and say that I'm not disappointed about it, but I'd feel much better if we had won."
So far this season, Bochi is batting .329 with 2 home runs, 15 RBIs and 17 runs scored. He has 51 hits in 155 at-bats, 13 walks and a .387 OBP. Bochi has played in 46 games.
