Statesmen Pitching Ravaged by Yamamoto Saturday, October 4th , 2042 Mitsuhide Yamamoto had an answer for everything the Charleston Statesmen threw at him at Moultrie Field. The West Virginia second baseman went 6-for-7 in the game to put his name in the record book and give the Alleghenies a win, 3-2. Summing up his batting philosophy to BNN writers after the game, Yamamoto said, "I just see the ball and I hit it." Mitsuhide Yamamoto singled in the 2nd, hit an RBI single in the 4th, struck out in the 6th, hit an RBI single in the 8th, singled in the 10th, singled in the 12th and hit a solo-shot off Nathan Moore in the 15th.
