Season-Ending Injury for Bill Evans

The season is ending on a bad note for Bill Evans, reliever for the Okinawa Shisa. It was announced today that he will miss the rest of the season because of injury. Evans was hurt against the Toyama Wind Dancers while throwing a pitch. He suffered shoulder inflammation and will be out for at least 5 months.

This year, Evans has chalked up a 4.26 ERA with no saves. In 33 relief appearances he has put up a 2-3 won-lost mark and struck out 52 batters in 57 innings.
