Postseason Bid Ends for Palm Springs Saturday, September 20th , 2042 The Palm Springs Codgers may still need a piece or two before becoming championship material in Planetary Extreme Baseball Alliance. The team has fallen short of its playoff goals this year, being officially eliminated from the playoffs today. "I feel like we have a great group," Codgers manager Bob Sullivan said. "We happened to come up short or our goal, though. We'll re-tool and be back stronger next season." Palm Springs last appeared in the postseason in 2040. This is their 2nd consecutive year missing the playoffs, and in total they have not advanced past the regular season 28 times in their 36-year history. In the last 10 seasons, the Codgers have only made the playoffs once. |
