Save Number 300 for Claymores Honda
Wednesday, September 10th , 2042
The Scottish Claymores really celebrated their 3-1 victory over the San Antonio Calzones of Laredo at The Castle. Not only did the Claymores win the game, but reliever Keiji Honda recorded his 300th-career save. The bullpen ace stopped San Antonio on no runs and no hits in his 1 innings of work to seal the triumph.
"It's a good milestone -- it doesn't happen very often," Honda said. "I was out there when my teammates needed me 300 times, and I'm real proud of that."
So far in his career, Honda has 300 saves with a 57-64 record and a 2.99 ERA.
