Palm Springs Draws Blanks Against Pin
Friday, September 5th , 2042
Young-pil Pin bent a little, but he didn't break against the Palm Springs Codgers. The Niihama-shi Ghosts pitcher hurled a 5-hit, 4-0 shutout in a fine performance, surrendering 3 walks and tallying 4 strikeouts.
"Young-pil is good at getting out of jams," Ghosts manager Nobuhito Hasegawa told reporters after the game. "He's almost more effective when he gets guys on base or gets behind in the count, because he uses your aggressiveness against you."
So far this season, Pin has logged a 11-9 record with a 3.00 ERA. He has started 26 games, hurled 186 innings and registered 145 strikeouts and 58 walks.
