Hitmen Out of Time, Out of Playoffs Thursday, September 4th , 2042 Naofumi Yamaguchi said it's going to be "an awfully long offseason" for the New Jersey Hitmen after they missed the Planetary Extreme Baseball Alliance playoffs. The club came close, but ultimately ran out of games to secure a postseason spot and were eliminated from contention today. New Jersey last appeared in the postseason in 2040. This is their 2nd consecutive year missing the playoffs, and in total they have not advanced past the regular season 14 times in their 25-year history. In the last 10 seasons, the Hitmen have made the playoffs 7 times. New Jersey last won the Planetary Extreme Championship in 2007. |
