League Rules Pulsifer Out 2 Games
Monday, September 1st , 2042
John Pulsifer's disrobing act in yesterday's loss to the Hartford Harpoon at Mack Stadium cost him a 2-game suspension. The league office informed the San Juan Coqui today that their first baseman would be suspended for "his poor conduct and unacceptable behavior that made a farce out of the game."
After being called out on strikes, Pulsifer was ejected by the home plate umpire after a heated and animated discussion. In protest for the ejection, he proceeded to throw his bat down, take off his batting gloves, cap, shirt, socks and shoes and left them at home plate, refusing to pick them up.
Asked about the suspension, Pulsifer sheepishly told reporters, "I did a stupid and embarrassing thing. Let's just leave it at that."
Pulsifer is hitting .239 this year with 26 home runs, 75 RBIs and 73 runs scored. He has 114 hits in 477 at-bats, 56 walks and a .324 on-base percentage. Pulsifer has played in 128 games.
