Davids Picked SL's Premier Rookie Monday, September 1st , 2042 Youngster Akke Davids emerged as the latest Sovereign League Rookie of the Month today. The young man from Shin Seiki deserved the honor, batting .282 with 8 home runs and 21 runs batted in. Is the month of August a harbinger of things to come or just a fluke? We'll find out someday, but for now, we'll just let Davids enjoy the limelight. So far this season, Davids is batting .237 with 19 home runs, 57 RBIs and 50 runs scored. He has 93 hits in 392 at-bats, 40 walks and a .308 OBP. Davids has played in 107 games. |
