Craig and Sakaguchi Suspended 5 Games for Brawl Monday, August 4th , 2042 Crystal Lake and Madison were informed today by the league's commissioner that two of their players have been given 5-game suspensions, citing their "inappropriate actions" in the recent altercation in a game played at Ellison Field at Dole Park. For their parts in the bench-clearing episode, the Sandgnats Alexander Craig and the Malts Seiichi Sakaguchi will be sitting on the sidelines and will not be permitted to participate in games until the suspensions are served. So far this season, Craig is hitting .260 with 7 home runs. Over the season, Sakaguchi has made 23 relief appearances with 1 save. He has K'd 21 batters in 28.1 innings, yielded 20 walks and has a 9.53 ERA. Sakaguchi's record this year is 3-3. |
