300th Save for Earl Lucas, Manchester Downs Charleston, 5-3 Friday, August 1st , 2042 With one well-thrown pitch, Manchester's 31-year-old reliever Earl Lucas found himself a new place in the record books. As the teams left the field at the end of the Maulers 5-3 win over Charleston Statesmen, the official scorer gave Lucas the save, making him the newest member of the 300-save club. The Moultrie Field crowd recognized this outstanding achievement with a standing ovation as he made his way to the dugout. In his career, Lucas has racked up 39 wins, 63 losses and 300 saves.
