Nelson on Fire, 5-for-6 Against Havana Wednesday, May 14th , 2042 Who needs batting practice? Apparently not Scottish Claymores second baseman Eric Nelson, who missed the team's pre-game session at Campos Peloteros but peppered the Havana Leones for 5 hits come game time. The Claymores went on to grab the 10-3 win. "I was late to the park and I wasn't sure coach was even going to keep me in the lineup," he told the press after the game. "Maybe I should skip BP more often." Eric Nelson hit a two-run home run off Volmer Buscher in the 1st, hit a two-run double in the 2nd, singled in the 4th, hit a solo-shot off Roelof Drenth in the 6th, doubled in the 8th and flied out in the 9th.
