The Guadalupe Frijoles de Dios defeated the Zapopan Torrenas, 11-10, at Torrenas Ballpark. Guadalupe was led by 22-year old shortstop Jorge Hernández, who went 3-5 with a home run and a double, while adding 5 RBI and scoring once. José Pérez got credit for the win, improving to 7-5. He allowed 2 runs on 2 hits in 5.1 innings. Sergio Ochoa earned the save, his 8th.

Guadalupe won the game in part because of Lorenzo Ortíz. The second baseman ripped a 2-run double in the top of the fifth inning to put the Frijoles de Dios ahead, 4-2. For the game, Ortíz had 2 doubles and 1 home run in 5 at-bats.

"Getting a lot of baserunners and getting some timely hits, it's a good combination," said Ortíz.

With the win, Guadalupe pushed its record to 39-29.
