|
Guadalupe Frijoles de Dios starter Carlos Martínez was locked-in. He led his team to a win over the Zapopan Torrenas, 3-2. Martínez, now 9-1, was the winner. In 5.2 innings, he gave up 7 hits, while striking out 2, walking 1, and allowing 2 runs. Sergio Ochoa was credited with the save. He has now successfully converted 7 of 7 save opportunities.
Guadalupe used a well-timed hit by Jorge Hernández to capture the win. The second baseman socked a 2-run double in the top of the first inning to put the Frijoles de Dios ahead, 3-0. Though it was his only hit in 3 at-bats, it was important.
